This is a Powerpoint presentation I did last year about Aristotle on Friendship. It was part of a series of lectures called Socrates for Seniors(TM). As you may know, Aristotle includes 2 chapters on friendship in his “Nicomachean Ethics,” which is about 20% of the book. Although both Aristotle’s father and son were called Nicomachus it’s unlikely that he named the book after either one since he never intended it to be a book at all. Rather, it was more like lecture notes perhaps put together in book form by his son after Aristotle died.
